New Orleans at Night
Now this is the New Orleans that people really want to see. Don’t get me wrong, daytime hours in this glorious city have their place, too. But somehow, the jazz sounds better and the booze tastes sweeter after hours. Well, some of the booze taste sweeter. Absinthe, regardless of when you drink it, will taste like black licorice, which doesn’t taste the sweetest. This port town lives up to its reputation as the first Sin City. The only difference is these weathered building exteriors aren’t facades. This is real-time stuff.
Great video, Robert! New Orleans is a special city. Some of what goes on at night does not appeal to me, but if you find the right bar, the right band, the right neighborhood–and there are plenty to choose from–it can be a great time. I like the cultural diversity and richness of the city the most.
